Problem with registering new user

Hello,
I have a problem registering a new user.
The error message i get is "_INVALIDUSER_".
The problem is shown only when i try to register a user with hebrew fonts (the site is in hebrew).
when i checked the code of the "pages/users/index.php" in line 199 i have this:

I tried to add the range of hebrew letters there: "א-ת".. and it goes like this: א-תa-zA-Z0-9._-
But it didn't work.
Anyone has a solution for me?

I'm using 3.9.0 version.
Admin -> System -> Configuration -> Language -> Hebrew.
Website: www.shafan.net
OS: Linux.
Using: IE7.

Found the solution. Needed to edit inc_functions, in the function validuser(). Now it works just fine. Zion.
