Is there someone who can make a converter from SMF to MemHT?
I still have some site which uses SMF 1.1.4 (Simple Machine Forums) and would convert them to MemHT Portal 4.0.0

I have tried to put the content over to memht but the biggest problem is the coding of the passwords.

I think it will be nice to have a converter from SMF to MemHT, and i think that more users are happy to have such a converter.

If passwords are stored in a different format than md5 (for example "salted" md5) than there is no way to port them

here you even have the password script:

that means it will be a very very hard work!
(I don't say impossible because with php nearly everything is possible )

Then porting those passwords is impossible (you could try to crack each of them with a brute force hehe)

or if you have weekends time creat them your self crypte them your self and send them your self via mail to etch users !

Brut forcing euhmm yeah why not if you have 10years time )!

we can just conclude that porting these pwd fully automatically is impossible

Actually i have a solution for that (as always) but i cannot create the mod at the moment

i am not surprised!

i would recommend two solutions:

1- creat random new password and email the users with the new password

2- change the password encoding system in Memht to the one used in your previous forum
