I have a problem with the site not sending e-mails at all.

I have the sendmail running and correctly set up in php.ini. I have no queue in sendmail and no messages in my mail server.

My actual question is if there is a possibility to add a SMTP sending option instead of the default PHP one.

You should modify manually the code and add the phpmailer class code. I explained it how to in a previous thread. The search button can help

Anyway i'm preparing an email class that should solve this and give the possibility to use SMTP (that actually is possible in the newsletter only)

This is what I was about to say ... I've already configured the newsletter to use SMTP but I couldn't find any posts about manually adding the PHP SMTP Auth.

This feature would be of great help as I'm sure many of us would like to personalize the sender of the site e-mails.

Unfortunately I can't quite use the engine without the e-mail system properly working (and I must say I really like it ... great work!)

How soon do you recon the SMTP function will be implemented?
