i can't write in Syriac using Dreamweaver.
so i used ms word to choose the Syriac font and doing the translation, but what's the encoding type, some guys suggested Greek and some others UTF-8 , but still i only get some gibberish chars when viewing pages in Syriac.

so what application u used in translating the script from English to Portuguese? |
The Portuguese is the charset ISO-8859-1.
To set it as default in Dreamweaver, which comes standard UTF-8, you should edit the preferences, then follow the steps:
1 - In your Dreamweaver, go to the menu Edit > Preferences (or simply Ctrl + U).
2 - In the "Category", go to New Document.
3 - Left, Scroll to "Default Encoding:" and look what is the encoding of your language in case of the Portuguese, in which we use ISO-8859-1, the option to be selected is "Western European" (Europeu Ocidental)
Okay, these steps will make your Dreamweaver manages any type of code directly in ISO-8859-1.
If by chance that is not the charset of your language, then find the corresponding his own in Dreamweaver ... go picking them and creating a new document until you find your charset!
I hope that this will be good! |
