I'm running a small site for school-related materials and I'd really like to get rid of the download approving thing so files instantly go in downloads without me or someone else having to approve them.

Help really appreciated

this is for security reasons, assume somebody uploaded a virus or spammed....there must be someone who approves and checks the files before listing 'em in download page....my advice dnt change it

I don't care about security really. It's a closed system where I confirm everyone myself.

what you want to do is completely remove the download area?

Give it up ...

To do so would have to change practically any system downloads as well a good part of memht.

Not worth it!
