cant add new user

PHP and MySQL versions:5.0.32
Installed addons/scripts: non
Error/Problem: cant add new user in admincp i get the message Control fields syntax!
Password not valid. even as the password is more then 4 caracters and less then 20 Help me !

That wasn't helpful. What was the solution? I am getting the exact same thing. I put in a 5 letter + 3 digits (8 characters total) and get back "Password not valid." There doesn't seem to be any rules about password creation.

I have the same problem. I installed Memht twice ans still the same... Where is the clue?
