Hi.
I just did simple addon for MemHT Portal. It is block with showimg todays date.

Example:

Author: parox
Version: 1.0
Size: 624 b
Demo:

or in Polish on http://linux-world.pl/

Instalation.

code

- Download Package and unrar them

- Put /blocks/block_date.php to /blocks/ folder on your server

- Go to http://yourdomain.com/admin.php?page=blocks and add new block

- Configure how do you like and from list "File" choose "date"

- Move where you only want

That's it! Enjoy it!

I will give you a suggestion if I may.
You can use the function numToMonth of memht

Ex.:

date("d").numToMonth(date("m")).date("Y");

Return example:
22 April 2008
Now u only add days of the week ^^
