Problem with Importing ZIP's in Gallery
#post6754
Hello,
First of all thanks for the wonderful CMS. My problem: When I import a zip file with .jpg pictures (with or without thumbs) i have some files (and thumbs) on the server with 0 bytes, not all. No pictures and no thumbs to see on the frontend. When importing see errors: Warning: gzinflate() [function.gzinflate]: data error in /inc/class/zip.class.php on line 224 and error "Cannot write into the file". Single pictures upload and sendimage works well. CHMOD=755. Have you any idea ?

I dont believe that is a permission prob. Look at your webspacelimit, if is exist. Thats classic, store files with 0 bytes.
Or otherwise have a look at the uploadlimit from serverside/provider.

yes you can be right, but sees the error message "Cannot write into the file", this message is error of permission.

If you ask me if I think it is just that, I reply that no lol

Believe me, i know about this prob, if your webspace is limited.
I host a little reseller web. Client get standard webspace (50mb). And every time they called me, to get more space, absolutly for this reasons
Lets have a look who is right, lol
Its not a permission prob, cause some files are written with 0 bytes.

i tried chmod 777 in the gallery directories but what other directories are used for upload, perhaps other ?
for the limits i have ask the provider and i am waiting for response but her advertisment is "2 GB disk space for your website PHP5 | 8x FTP | 8x MySQL | 8x PostgreSQL Unlimited bandwidth & no file size limits Addon domains, subdomains, configurable home directories, external linking allowed, ... and much more!
i am nearly sure that my limit of 2Gb is not overshoot. other upload's file per file is working good.

Hi,
Provider confirmed no limits and FTP reports: 26807 Kbytes used (1%) - authorized: 2097152 Kb. The only limit is max 32 MB Ram and max_execution_time of 8 seconds.

It seems when i import a zip file packed with the "old dos" pkzip, it doesn't work anymore also when i continue with files packed with windows. Another test right now with 2 windows packed files were ok. Is the "old" zipformat not compatible ?
