HTML and CSS validity
#post7145
Has anyone looked at fixing the validity of the code generated in a page... I just put mine through against the W3C tools and it spewed out a couple.

Is thing going in the next release? Or should I look into fixing this seperately?

The core should be at 95% valid (not all pages are completelly valid at the moment), the only problems are templates, not all of them are w3c valid (i think the memht default one is valid but i'm not sure)

New templates i'm going to develop will be valid for sure

When you validate your site, check "show source" and control where the problem is Smile

Yeah. The W3C validator sites tell you line numbers and what is wrong, so it shouldn't be hard to track them down.

But if its a template issue, then that's not really a big deal to add back in.

Dont misunderstand me.
The prob is not the template, seperate the blocks and pages. Look at your site mem, for example you got 21 alt errors, 2 in home.tml, 15 in the 3 bottom blocks(white_paper) and 4 in the rss block.
If i use this template and get a new release, so i get the prob again.
And pages like guide, articels, news and so on, which uses pics like print.gif or rss-syndicate_box.gif or whatever are missing the alt attribute.
I hope you understand what i mean.
