This is done by cookies if you dont logout and close IE or Firefox the next time you open up memht.com you will still be logged in. This is a security issue as well as convenience

As annoying as it is to login every 35 mins as the cookie expires but some are paranoid so I think having an option to give the cookie expire time as an argument would not be hard to do?

Yes, possibly add an option in the profile to give a cookie expiration time, but honestly i dont know how hard that would be
