From this point on, no new features will be added, just bug fixes.
Even if in the final version will be lighter, without additional plugins (they'll need to be downloaded and installed), i left some of them in the beta for testing purposes.
All features missing in this version, will be added in the future as plugins or extensions.

Let's talk about the new version now: these are some of the news, check the release changes page for more info:
- Added multiple recipient to private messages. Write usernames, separating them by commas, example: jack,sara,pablo.
- Sticky blocks with different (highlighted) styles (obviously old templates will not highlight blocks untill they are updated).

Some of you have noticed that the virtual addons feature in the 3.8.0 release was incomplete, or better, it was spartan. Because of this i decided to back to work and enhance it (i have a very very big headache now and i'm very very tired).

I've created a virtual addons engine that permit to install and update addons, from local files or remotelly, with 1 click. The file has a XML form and is universal. With this i mean that can be used to install and update addons, and in the future other components too (blocks, mods etc), it's modular. The new XML installer file permit to include instructions shown to the user during the installation or update process, PHP code that can be executed during those processes (so you can create database tables, files etc), description and so on.
I've created a tutorial that explains shortly the XML installer file, i hope you'll find it understandable:

This is a minor release, it has only 1 new feature and 2 small fixes, but i thought the virtual addons was enough to release it, because in the next future i want to dedicate my time in developing addons, and creating them before the new virtual addons engine would have no sense.

Download MemHT Portal 3.7.0]]> Thank you to all MemHT users and share a small news... In only 7 days (from the beginning of Feb), MemHT Portal 3.6.5 has been downloaded more than 4000 times (500+ from the MemHT.com downloads page)... this is a new record.

I hope to have a lot of other occasions to do this again!
]]> It uses pure html files, very easy to use. Of course PHP is still usable within the template files, so they are still 100% customizable.
Old template are no more compatible, but the conversion is very simple (usually not more than 10 minutes per template, no PHP knowledge is required).

Finally MemHT Portal, known as CMS, offers a valid solution for Bloggers: This release contains a full blog addon with posts, comments, categories, archive etc.

The other big news is the new installer and the (almost) universal updater engine, indeed MemHT Portal is no more released in two version (Full and Update).

The installer will permit to configure MemHT Portal from the beginning: CMS or Blog. Those two configurations differ only in the initial installed template, addons and blocks. Note: Indipendently of the choise, all features will be available and the portal will be 100% customizable, there aren't substantial differences.

The updater wizard will permit to update all versions (at least 2.9) to the last released one (3.6.0 in this case) very easily

    - MemHT Portal 3.5.0 Update]]> It's a minor release, indeed it contains a low number of changes, but they seriously affect the cms speed and code optimization.

The most important modification concerns the prototype framework, now opened only when needed. This lowers the size of the biggest part of pages up to 40% (that as we all know means faster pages and less bandwidth consumption).

Among the other news, stands out the template engine enhancement. Now, it supports different structures and styles for each blocks side.
